Nobile cucciola di Pastore della Sila (Reserved)

Calamata is a Sila Shepherd puppy who represents one of the most interesting expressions of our selection. Born from two of the best bloodlines in the kennel, she combines in a single pedigree exceptional genetic, morphological, and personality traits.

Both parents are officially tested for hip and elbow dysplasia, a fundamental requirement of our breeding program aimed at preserving the health and functionality of the breed.

She has a splendid hyaline gray coloring, accompanied by a broad facial mask, elements that give her an intense and distinctive expression. From the first weeks of life, she stands out for her surprising maturity: she carefully observes her environment, evaluates each situation before acting, and demonstrates a confidence uncommon for her age.

The puppy was born in as natural an environment as possible. Her mother, in fact, has retained the precious archaic instinct of independently digging a den for birth and raising her pups in a protected environment, demonstrating maternal behavior of the highest ethological value. Raising these puppies in these conditions allows them to develop a genuine connection with their environment and the breed's ancestral behaviors from an early age.

Calamata was among the first to spontaneously leave her den to explore the world around her. Curious, enterprising, and possessing a strong sense of initiative, she approaches every new experience with confidence and interest, demonstrating a balanced temperament and a keen appetite for exploration. These qualities, combined with her pedigree, make her a highly promising puppy.

Due to her genetics, physical qualities, temperament, and ethological heritage, Calamata represents a highly promising potential future breeder, particularly suited to those wishing to embark on a serious Sila Shepherd breeding journey, contributing to the preservation and promotion of this ancient Italian breed through high-quality, selective specimens.

Assessments

From a morphological standpoint, it's still premature to make definitive assessments, as this dog is still in full growth. However, considering the quality of the breeders from which it descends and the characteristics they both consistently pass on to their offspring, it's reasonable to expect a female with excellent structure, harmonious development, good bone structure, and characteristics fully consistent with the type sought in the Sila Shepherd selection process.
